Saipan USA Fisheries and USA Islands Seafood have taken over the Transamerican Building on Beach Road, we are undergoing major renovations and hope to be processing fish by the first of the year. We currently have two longline Fishing vessels here in saipan, the Lady Carolina and the Miss Saipan, the Lady Carolina is 100' and built in Louisiana in 1997 she was a Katrina survivor and brought over to saipan late 2007, the vessel has made a few exploratory trips out of rota and Saipan and is gearing up for another fishing trip with with a new Captain and Crew the vessel should depart in two weeks, the Miss Saipan is a 90' converted gulf Shrimper another Katrina survivor brought over to Saipan the same time as the Lady Carolina and will be undergoing refit to fish as a longliner.
